Photos of the Casa de Claro environment
This is a typically tall Saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) in the mountains about 5 miles South of the Casa de Claro. Beside it here is a 9 year old child to show a frame of reference in terms of hieght. She is about 4 feet tall. They can reach a height of 12 meters (nearly 40 feet) and an age of up to 200 years old. Photo Credit: John Odam
